Does anyone know anything about or anyone in Fargo? HoneyHaired has an opportunity to work there for a co-op this winter quarter and my knowledge is only cinematic...and it's 19 degrees there...

  1. It has a Starbucks, which you'd recognize as crucial if you're in the middle of a long haul home from Montana. Other than that, I know little about this city, except as I've been told by the Coen brothers.

  2. I have a friend who lives near there (maybe - she might live in the other Dakota, & isn't it sad that I can't remember). I'll check when I get home tonight & let you know :)

  3. My friend Darci IS in Fargo (or a suburb thereof). She tried to post here, but couldn't get it to work (she's not a blogger). If you'd like to get in touch with her her email address is aggiepants at facebook.com

  6. I think young adults should always take a shot at anything that could be a valuable learning experience but I remember watching Weather Channel and wondering why anyone would live in Fargo, which was often the coldest, windiest city on the map! Long underwear will be needed for sure.

  7. As a transplant to Minnesota from TX, my understanding is that the cinematic version captures the essence of the area. Wouldn't be my first choice, but if it has a coo-p and Starbucks, I could make it. Much to be learned living in the cold -- and then there's God's country (the Northwoods of MN) within a half-day's drive! If she's got a sense of humor and a streak of hardiness, she'll manage just fine!
