Just Another Crazy Mother For Peace

"...Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience. We, the women of one country, will be too tender of those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs."
--Julia ward Howe

Be generous in prosperity,
and thankful in adversity.
Be fair in thy judgment,
and guarded in thy speech.
Be a lamp unto those who walk in darkness,
and a home to the stranger.
Be eyes to the blind, and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring.
Be a breath of life to the body of humankind,
a dew to the soil of the human heart,
and a fruit upon the tree of humility.
--Baha'i Prayer for Peace

  13. Something very Benedictine about that Baha'i prayer of peace.

But then again, it seems that all spiritual traditions are united in certain principles as written in the beautiful phrases in that prayer, and it gets to the punch line much faster than Benedict's Rule, that for sure!

So, how many radical critical care nurses are there in CinCity? Sounds like a place I'd really like!

Happy Mother's Day to you. Your grrls are might luck! Tell 'em I said so, will ya?
